The Department of Psychology and Guidance & Counselling Unit at Kyambogo University is back with the much-anticipated “Last Lecture – Season 4”, and this time it’s bigger and better! Set to take place on 7th November 2024, this blended (physical &virtual) event promises to be a transformative experience for our graduating students. If you’re feeling both excited and slightly terrified about life after graduation, don’t worry—you’re not alone. We’ve gathered an incredible panel of experts to share their wisdom on the realities of life beyond campus, covering everything from career transitions to mental health and navigating post-graduation relationships.
As Bill Gates once said, “It’s fine to celebrate success, but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.” With the guidance of our distinguished speakers, you’ll be armed with the knowledge to not only succeed but also gracefully handle the bumps along the way. This year’s theme, “Navigating Life After Graduation: Mental Health, Careers, and Relationships,” focuses on the challenges you’ll face and how to turn them into opportunities for personal and professional growth.
We know that transitioning from the comfortable structure of university to the unknown territory of adulthood can be daunting. But as Confucius wisely noted, “The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” And that’s exactly what this lecture is about giving you the right tools to start moving those metaphorical stones, one at a time. So whether you’re wondering how to impress potential employers, or worried about how your friendships might change after graduation, we’ve got you covered!
