Teaching takes the form of lectures, seminars, practical classes and supervisions.

Psychology Internships

Our students get chances for internship/practicum trainings as part of skilling them to various employment possible outlets, thus growing the network.this is a must, becauseIn experiential learning and internships, the real learning comes after the work term when you have an opportunity to think about what you saw and experienced.  Reflecting back about the experience is a key to learning and it is definitely not a new idea.  In fact, a famous lesson from Confucius around 450 B.C. illuminates the importance of active engagement and real time experiences in learning:

“TELL ME, AND I WILL FORGET.
SHOW ME, AND I MAY REMEMBER.
INVOLVE ME, AND I WILL UNDERSTAND.”

It is through reflecting about the actions at work and the concrete experiences that will lead you to recognizing that the experience has forged a new way of thinking about the classroom theory.  An abstract concept worked through in a real situation, as an immediate need, will change the participants.

Participation in Research

Welcome to the Department of Psychology research participation webpage. Most of our research studies take place in the laboratories that are situated within the Department or online.

One of the most important ways for students to learn about psychological research, and the science of psychology itself, is by participating in psychological research. This means that students get to experience different types of research, think about ethical issues and become immersed in cutting-edge research that goes beyond what is available to them in text books. Participation is also an important part of students’ research methods training programmes, and they receive course credit for participation as part of some modules.

You can participate in any of the research carried out in the Department of Psychology via:
